Celebrating 25 Years of James Hyman Gallery

I would like to thank all the incredible artists we have exhibited, my wonderful colleagues, and the many private collectors and public museums who have acquired works from us. I am immensely grateful to you all for your support over the last quarter of a century.

27th October 2024 marks twenty five years since the founding of James Hyman Fine Art in 1999. To mark this anniversary we are staging a special online exhibition.

 

To celebrate 25 years, the first five purchasers will receive a 25% discount!

 

Based in St James’s and Mayfair for most of this time, the gallery has specialised in Twentieth Century British Art with a particular focus on figurative art. It has focused especially on art in all media with a particular focus on art since the Second World War and has presented exhibitions of the Geometry of Fear Sculptors, the Kitchen Sink painters, The School of London; and British Pop Art.

 

As well as major group shows, the subjects of solo shows have included Michael Andrews, Francis Bacon, Basil Beattie, Tony Bevan, Edward Burra, Alan Davie, Peter Doig, Lucian Freud, Peter de Francia, Derrick Greaves, Bert Hardy, Glenys Johnson, Robert Medley, Edward Middleditch, Hughie O’Donoghue, Eduardo Paolozzi, Tony Ray-Jones, Bridget Riley, Colin Self and William Turnbull. We have also given solo shows to younger figurative painters such as Lewis Chamberlain and Ben Spiers.
